Founded in 1870, Bristol Ariel Rowing club, located in St. Anne's, is the oldest
rowing club in Bristol that offers rowers of all abilities and ages the opportunity
of rowing, sculling or learning to row on a beautiful 5km stretch of the river
Avon.
The club has a growing active membership including women, men, veteran and
juniors. Members regularly compete at local and national events though out the
year. Click to find out more details on our racing calendar.
The club offers excellent facilities, including a newly refurbished club house with a
fully equipped gym and ergos, and regularly adds to its fleet of boats, with the
latest addition being a new Stampfli wing rigger cox-less quad named Iris and a bow
loaded coxed four called Stephano. The club also has a fleet of people coming up
with fundraising ideas to generate cash for the club to buy new equipment.
Bristol Ariel Rowing Club has a ever growing coaching team who take the time to
develop peoples skills and confidence of all abilities from beginners to elite rowers.
