Christmas Puddings
Ladies and Gentlemen
It’s that time of year again, to dust off those big wooden boats, put on a funny costume (if you wish) and team up
with 4 other random people from the rowing club and race to win the ultimate prize a CHRISTMAS PUDDING. Food and
drink will run from 12pm onwards, also we hope to be having a mini bonfire (marshmallows anyone….) around 3-4ish.
Then onto town afterwards if people are interested.
This is a fun event but anything we sell is raising money for the club so feel free to bring something down i.e. cake's to
sell. Clair will be making the infamous mulled wine…… (non-alcoholic version will be available too!).

come down and let the kid out in you.

them in different boats from a single up to an 8, but who will get the golden egg this year?????
Bonfire night
The Bonfire in 2008 was exceptional from the chilli to the Fantastic boat burning ceremony. To bad the weather was
against us for the fireworks, but this year will be BETTER!!!
Curry night
In this social there is a plan to get lots of different curry's made people pay a fee and get curry and a drink, and
theres always a chance of seconds if its that tasty!!
CLUB & BOAT MAINTENANCE DAYS
As the head season comes to a close and the club prepares for the start of the regatta season, all members of the
club are requested to help on both or either of the above days.
There will be no rowing between the hours of 10am and 3pm as we will be emptying the boathouses, stripping down
and cleaning all equipment, painting and cleaning and generally sorting out the various buildings.
The various captains/coordinators will be nominating a number of team leaders who will be responsible for different
spaces and equipment.
The club is planning to provide hot food and if possible set up a TV to watch the Boat Race on the Sunday.
If you intend to race at Evesham Regatta - your presence will be expected on at least one of these days to help out
with boat and club maintenance.
If you are not able to help on either days please contact either;
Andrew Simpson (House & Grounds) Or Geoff
Holloway (Club Captain)
And we will give you jobs that can be done on a different date.
